I have a '01 GMC Sierra 3500, Crew cab Dually, 2 wheel drive. Vortec 6000 engine. WHAT IS A GOOD SELLING PRICE. I WAS OFFERED 9500 for it as a trade. I will not take that for it. It is a VERY nice truck, running boards, vent visors! I would like to sell it PP now and don't know what to ask.
these will give you a ball park idea of trade in value, avg retail etc. They will go through what options. mileage, condition etc.
Also look at your local paper or local websites. ie www.carsoup.com and see what individuals are asking for similar trucks. When you weigh all of the above info you should have a good idea of what a fair price is.
Understand that with fuel prices as high as they are and all the good deals on new trucks. The value of a used truck is way down. Here in Utah you might get $15,000, but it would be a hard sell, everybody wants diesel and 4x4 around here.

i went through the Books. The dealerships will not come anywhere close because its a GAS engine! I have a idea of what to ask. $15,000 which is around the good condition for Private party. I dont want to ask to much. I just want to sell it soon. Diesel is well over 2.50 in NC and Unleaded is 2.14 at samsclub. So I didn't think GAS would be that big of a deal.
